Fallon Community Health Plan is sponsoring the Canal Diggers 5Km Road Race. All proceeds from the race will benefit the Worcester Hibernian Cultural Foundation and medals will be awarded to all participants. The race celebrates contributions of Irish immigrants in Worcester more than 100 years ago. This year's race coincides with the Blackstone Canalfest, which has entertainment, vendors, food, and the current canal project. To register or for more information, visit www.canaldiggers.org.

This is a comedy fundraising night in aid of the Cycle of America Team from Ireland who will have completed 6,000 km cycled across the US from Washington State to Washington DC on Sept. 18th. They arrive in Boston on the 20th, so join us for a night of live comedy and improv. The event will be hosted by Maria Ciampa from Improv Boston/Women in Comedy Festival to help push for the new goal of 30,000 (previously 20,000) dollars raised for the Irish Cancer Society and the Livestrong Foundation.

A fundraiser will be held Wed, Sep 22, to help defray the cost of the 2011 Greater New Haven St. Patrick's Day Parade at Kelly's on Campbell, 144 Campbell Avenue, West Haven. Patrons will be waited on by former Grand Marshals of the St. Patrick's Day Parade from 5 to 9 pm. No admission charge as all tips will be donated to the parade committee for their 2011 parade.
